Management of Ledge Formation and Broken Instrument

Abstract:

Iatrogenic accidents such as separated instruments and ledge formation which are most frequently encountered in retreatment cases can be serious problems leading to failure because of the inability to disinfect the canal system apical to those obstructions. In retreatment those mishaps that can adversely impact the treatment outcomes should be non-surgically managed first before surgery is even considered. Therefore, in my lecture, the best non-surgical techniques to manage those cases will be discussed and shown.
