Thinking and Talking of Endodontics with a Different Approach

New era of endodontics started nearly 25 years ago with the development of Nickel Titanium and rotary instrumentation.

A second step of endodontics evolution raised up ten years later with the development of biology understandings and professional behavior.

Actually, both of these evolutions are moving on with the same objectives: tissue preservation.

In this lecture we are going to talk about minimal invasive approach of endodontics and see how the Race EVO, one of the new systems launched by FKG company few months ago is reaching the goal.

The objectives of this lecture are:

- Redefining the main goal of endodontics and understand why endodontics is not a simple matter of root canal preparation and filling

- To explain why the minimal invasive approach of endodontics is not only a matter or small access cavity design

- To explain why and who Race Evo is one of the appropriate systems to shape a root canal with the objectives cited above.

Ha has been a full time Professor in endodontics and Molecular biology for 14 years at Paris Diderot University and leaded the 3 years full time program of endodontics he created in 2011.

He is the author of 68 per reviewed manuscripts, over than 120 clinical French and English clinical papers. He is also the authors of 7 books and 9 chapters in international books such as Dental Pulp, Pathways of the pulp, Textbook of Endodontology, etc. He has lectured in 27 countries mainly on Innovation and new technologies in endodontics. He was the president of Pulp Biology and regeneration group of IADR in 2012-2014.

Stephane SIMON is still active in research biology with self-funded projects, and is highly involved in development of new techniques and concepts for graduate and postgraduate teaching (E learning, flipped classroom, MOOCs, etc.)
