Endodontic treatment of the non-vital tooth with an open apex

Endodontic treatment of the non-vital tooth with an open apex presents a high degree of clinical complexity. Management differs considerably from typical endodontic procedures and consideration must be given to patient management (often very young patients), canal disinfection and canal obturation techniques. This lecture will explore:

clinical presentations of the open apex

the available treatment options and their predictability and outcomes

practical considerations during treatment.
