Clinical Strategies for Fractured Instruments Removal

Endodontics has proven to be one of the most successful procedures in dentistry. However, during endodontic treatment, the separation of a shaping instrument hinders cleaning of the root canal space.

Since the 1990s, several techniques have been proposed for the removal of the fractured fragment, including manual and rotary files. Currently, new tools are on the market with a new approach to use.

In this presentation we will review the different devices used to remove the separate instrument, we will highlight the indications in the different anatomical conditions. In addition, a new unique approach will be introduced to accomplish this more or less complicated task through several clinical cases.
